Our mission is to push SRL's boundaries by creating novel electronics and avionics solutions. We take ambitious projects head on, growing our capabilities as engineers in the process. We work deeply with all aspects of aerospace electronics, including complex RF systems, FPGA development, custom PCB design, state estimation, control systems, and more.

Current Projects

PHOENIX FLIGHT COMPUTER

Phoenix is our custom flight computer solution. Complete with a redundant sensor suite, SD card storage, uplink/downlink capability, and an onboard Extended Kalman Filter, this is our solution to ensure quality data collection and recovery deployment during SRL’s launches. While Phoenix provided invaluable flight data from Mamba III, we are currently upgrading it further to increase reliability and support SRL’s upcoming Spaceshot.

GROUND STATION

Avionics is currently developing a ground station system to improve operator effectiveness and increase communications reliability during launch.

EXPERIMENTAL

Avionics is also adding capabilities to Spaceshot’s avionics suite above and beyond simple data acquisition. These projects involve custom antenna design, digital signal processing with FPGAs, complex structures simulation and manufacturing, and more. Contact us for more details.
