CU Sounding Rocket Laboratory is deeply grateful to the Engineering Excellence Fund for its continued support of our program. EEF's investment has powered SRL's growth from a small student club into a 100+ member organization pushing the boundaries of collegiate rocketry. That growth carried us from October 2025's successful Mamba III launch to 90,000 ft, to our current work on Sunbeam, SRL's first spaceshot vehicle, targeting a 350,000+ ft apogee that would make us only the second student rocketry organization in the world to cross the Kármán line into space. EEF's funding gives hundreds of CU engineers across every discipline the resources to turn classroom learning into real, hands-on aerospace engineering experience, and we're proud to carry that investment forward with every launch.

CU Sounding Rocket Laboratory is incredibly grateful for Tektronix’s gift of high-end, high performance lab equipment. Their generous donation has unlocked even more ambitious projects for the club and particularly the avionics team, enabling us to debug complex RF and high-speed digital systems currently in development. By helping us build out our electronics lab through this donation, they are directly contributing to building the next generation of aerospace, electrical, and computer engineers. CU Sounding Rocket Laboratory is extremely grateful to Colorado Air and Space Port for supporting testing within our program. CASP’s generosity has given the club access to a dedicated test site on their property, allowing our engineers to prepare and test rocket motors. Rigorous hands-on testing is at the heart of how CU SRL develops and validates motors and flight vehicles. Having a dedicated test space gives our engineers the ability to work with energetics safely, gather critical performance data, and push our propulsion systems further through iterative development. This capability will play an important role as we continue developing vehicles and working toward our goal of reaching space. We’re incredibly grateful for the space they’ve provided and look forward to working together.

Their support has helped us manufacture critical nozzle hardware for our upcoming R-motor, Crucible, which will power our spaceshot vehicle, Sunbeam. This hardware would have otherwise been beyond our in house manufacturing capabilities. Ursa Major is also helping us 3-D print components for our regenerative liquid engine.
